Barnsley have only 21 points left to play for in this year’s battle for League One promotion.

With the games dwindling down now at the real business end of the campaign as we find ourselves already through the first April scheduled games, it’s still all to play for for Barnsley and this is the run in we face.

Barnsley:
Sat 9 Chesterfield (H)
Tue 12 Oldham Athletic (H)
Sat 16 Burton Albion (A)
Tue 19 Peterborough United (H)
Sat 23 Sheffield United (A)
Sat 30 Colchester United (H)
Sun 8 Wigan Athletic (A)

Whether it’ll go down to the wire, or be confirmed ahead of time, here are the respective run in’s for the other sides seriously rivaling those valuable final spots.

Wigan Athletic:
Sat 9 Coventry City (H)
Sat 16 Doncaster Rovers (A)
Tue 19 Burton Albion (A)
Sat 23 Southend United (H)
Sat 30 Blackpool (A)
Sun 8 Barnsley (H)

Burton Albion:
Sat 9 Scunthorpe United (A)
Sat 16 Barnsley (H)
Tue 19 Wigan Athletic (H)
Sat 23 Colchester United (A)
Sat 30 Gillingham (H)
Sun 8 Doncaster Rovers (A)

Walsall:
Sat 9 Oldham Athletic (A)
Tue 12 Gillingham (A)
Sat 16 Southend United (H)
Tue 19 Swindon Town (H)
Sat 23 Bradford City (A)
Tue 26 Shrewsbury Town (H)
Mon 2 Fleetwood Town (H)
Sun 8 Doncaster Rovers (A)

Gillingham:
Sat 9 Sheffield United (A)
Tue 12 Walsall (H)
Sat 16 Port Vale (H)
Tue 19 Rochdale (A)
Sat 23 Shrewsbury Town (H)
Sat 30 Burton Albion (A)
Sun 8 Millwall (H)

Bradford City:
Sat 9 Swindon Town (H)
Sat 16 Shrewsbury Town (A)
Tue 19 Coventry City (A)
Sat 23 Walsall (H)
Sat 30 Southend United (A)
Sun 8 Chesterfield (H)

Millwall:
Sat 9 Shrewsbury Town (H)
Sat 16 Coventry City (A)
Tue 19 Fleetwood Town (H)
Sat 23 Bury (A)
Sat 30 Oldham Athletic (H)
Sun 2 Gillingham (A)

With Burton Albion sitting on 76 points in second spot, a run for the automatic places has to be out of contention even with the game in hand we have on them, but sitting only four points off Millwall in the last Play Off spot – Bradford and Gillingham one point ahead of them and finally Walsall two points ahead – is definitely not out of the question at this stage of the season.

It could well end up with a second trip to Wembley this year which everyone hopes for.
