Barnsley have slapped a £3 million price tag on John Stones as the Premier League clubs continue to show interest in the young full back.

Stones is tied down with a contract until 2015 so Barnsley won`t allow Stones to leave on the cheap for once.

£3 million will be sure to put off many clubs but anyone serious about landing Stones will have no choice but to cough up what Barnsley are asking for.

I`m happy to see Barnsley in the driving seat for the first time since the sale of Ashley Ward. This can only be a win/win situation for the reds. He either stays with the club or they get some serious money for him.
