Plymouth manager John Sheridan ‘ruled himself out’ of becoming the next Barnsley manager but could Mark Cooper be the one? The Daily Mail claims that we’ve made a ‘formal approach’ to hold talks with him….

Cooper has rebuilt his managerial career with Swindon, and has been linked to Leeds in the past six-months – where his father Terry was a player, but would he leave a promotion chasing side for us?

We want to be back in the Championship inside 18-months and it’s reported that we view him as the man to make this happen, as such we’ve made that formal approach to our league 1 rivals? As yet nothing has been confirmed or denied by either club.

If we have or not should be revealed in the coming hours and days?
