Barnsley manager Simon Davey gave his thoughts after seeing his side suffer their fourth sraight defeat in a row.

He told the post-match press conference:

‘We need a win badly. Home or away we need a win to put an end to this bad run.

‘It was poor start, they were at us from the start, and we didn’t cope with it.

‘We were poor and weren’t at the races in the first half. We have got to be focused and have full concentration from the start.’

The only silver lining for the Tykes was a debut goal for Daniel Bogdanovic. CLearance for the Maltese international to play only came through at half past four.

He added: ‘He’s a massive positive. He got his goal and hopefully we have a goalscorer with us. He’s a natural finisher and I think there is a lot more to come from him.’

Next up for the Reds: Bristol City at Ashton Gate.
