Ahead of the game against Colchester United, Barnsley’s annual awards winner were announced.

Adam Hammill was the big winner on the day, taking the Player of the Year gong, whilst Alfie Mawson won on the numbers game – three went his way in the shape of Players’ Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year and Community Player of the Year.

Hammill also picked up Goal of the Season for his Johnstone’s Paint Trophy strike at Wembley.

2015/16 Reds Player in the Community Award:
This award recognises an outstanding individual who goes above and beyond what is expected of them in support of the club’s community programmes throughout the season and for their commitment off the pitch. This Award is in recognition of an individual who has gone the extra mile to support local community projects and the positive impact that this player has made.
