It was confirmed on Saturday Barnsley have once again secured the loan services of Man United man Ben Pearson ahead of the 2015/16 season.

Pearson was a huge success at Oakwell last season with him telling he didn’t need much convincing to return from Old Trafford again.

Not only has Pearson said he wants to ‘pick up where he left off’ he’s looking to do even better.

‘I’m really pleased to be back.

‘I had a great time here last season – making my professional debut – and want to pick up where I left off but help take us that one step further.’

Having given him his professional debut, and with his loan so successful last season, its not really too much of a surprise to see him back at Oakwell is it?

The beauty for Head Coach Lee Johnson last term was that he saw him play against him and also for him, so he’s seen him from two different perspectives – the same outcome was he impressed him!

Bringing him back is something he’s exited by, adding.

‘Ben really impressed me last season – both when he played against and for me. He is a tremendous talent with energy to burn and is a good passer of the ball.

‘He will be an asset in our midfield and I`m really looking forward to working with him again.’

You tend to think this season is a big season for the 20-year-old who will look to play as many games as possible for us, adding to his 22-matches last season, during his initial loan that runs until January 3rd.

If he’s going to be there or thereabout in the future for Man United he needs to be impressing upon them, or for a would be potential future club – maybe us permanently, doesn’t he….
