Former Fulham midfielder Julian Gray has signed for Barnsley Football Club on a month to month contract.

Gray, a winger, was a free agent following his exit from Coventry City at the end of last season and he is no stranger to Barnsley having scored in both fixtures against the Reds in the 2007/08 season.

Robins told the club’s official website: ‘undoubtedly he’s got blinding pace’ which will no doubt excite Barnsley fans who have been clamouring for wingers who can beat a man and then cross for the strikers.

The 29 year old has been signed mainly as cover for Jamal Campbell-Ryce who remains sidelined by the freak eye injury he suffered last week.
