There will be a crisis meeting held at Oakwell today where Barnsley boss David Flitcroft and the board will discuss how to solve the clubs current run of results and performances.

Flitcroft was clearly unhappy with the lack of effort shown by the players in the drubbing suffered at home to Watford. The Barnsley boss described the players as being 40% down on where they need to be to compete against teams like Watford.

It would be fair to say that this season Flicker has failed to find a settled side both personnel and formation wise and that most of his summer signings are only squad players.

However he has had faith in the lads that did it for him last season but they haven`t repaid the faith he has shown.

Everyone can have bad games but the lack of effort and battle compared to last season is alarming to say the least.

Many fans are now hoping that this meeting season the manager sacked despite the very same fans calling him the messiah only two months ago.

I think this meeting will just be a bit of clear the air talks and the manager being given so many games to turn results around which is the least that he deserves.
