For the second time in three seasons Barnsley have drawn West Ham United at Upton Park in the third round of the F.A. Cup.

The draw for this season’s third round was made at Wembley yesterday and saw the Reds paired with the Premier League’s bottom team for the ties to be played in the first week in January 2011.

The third round in 2009 saw the Reds exit the cup at the first hurdle against the Hammers, with Ilunga, Noble and Cole sending them packing with a 3-0 defeat.

It’s not a glamour tie for the Reds. Neither is it particularly exciting for West Ham, but it will be a tough game. Barnsley know all about beating Premiership opposition in the cup though of course, having knocked out Liverpool and holders Chelsea on their run to the Semi Final in 2008.
