In Barnsley`s first televised game of the season they take on Nottingham Forest under the flood lights at Oakwell which looks to be a must win game for the Reds.

The Reds last game ended in a 0-0 draw at home to relegation threatened Wigan Athletic, although the Reds looked to have been the better side in that game. Nottingham Forest come to Oakwell after a 2-0 win away at Ipswich where Britt Assombalonga grabbed both goals in that game.

On loan midfielder Sam Morsy will be eligible to come back in to the squad after sitting out the last game due to Wigan being his parent club. It is unsure whether full back Aidy White will be back for the game as he is reported to be back in training however not quite yet fully 100% fit.

Nottingham Forest will be without full back Hildeberto Pereira after he sits out his second game of a three match ban. A couple of injury problems for Forest could see some of their star players not make the starting 11, with a total of 5 injuries including star player Britt Assombalonga a doubt for Fridays game.

The Reds are currently on a 4 game unbeaten streak, with 3 clean sheets coming from that streak, however only racking up the one win. Both Barnsley and Forest have superb scoring records this season, both scoring 27 goals the third most in the championship, however the Forest defence is letting them down this season, conceding 30 goals, only bottom club Rotherham have conceded more.

The last time the two met it ended in a 1-0 win to Barnsley, however the all-time record is level with 28 wins each and 22 draws.

Barnsley skipper Conor Hourihane has been statistically the best player in the championship this season, and with his contract running out at the end of the season, many clubs could be having a look at the Irishman in this game, expecting a key performance to secure a win for the Reds on Friday night.
