Barnsley boss David Flitcroft has admitted that the club have been in talks with Hull City about signing striker Aaron McLean.

Talks are at a very early stage at the moment and have just taken place at boardroom level between the clubs.

If a deal can be agreed then the Barnsley boss will talk to McLean. His first task will be to decide if McLean is the right player to join this group.

If Flicker is happy after speaking to the player then the club will try and agree personal terms to bring him to Oakwell.

Barnsley certainly aren`t messing about this season in terms of recruitment and speaking to players. It`s a welcome change to what we have been used to at Oakwell.
