Remarkably the play-offs are very much a realistic prospect for Barnsley, although our opponents on Saturday will still think they’re able to gatecrash that party too as Walsall come to Oakwell not too far off this really.

Lee Johnson looks to continue his unbeaten run as Barnsley manage, if he can add to the wins prior to his arrival we could potentially eat further into that two-point gaps between us and the top six!

With new loanee arrivals from Colchester and Cardiff, in the form of Jabo Ibehre and Declan John respectively, we could see a chance to the squad at least whereas otherwise the same for a third straight match could have been named.

One, or both, would be expected to at least come into the matchday 18?

Walsall have doubts over Jordan Cook, who scored twice against us in the reverse fixtures, and Anthony Forde after they were forced to sit out the win over Yeovil.

Ahead of the game Lee Johnson told BBC Radio Sheffield: ‘We need to make sure we’re scoring more than one goal a game because you are always leaving yourself open if you only have one.

‘I want to add more quality to the final third because we’ve got in some great positions in the last two games without managing to produce a goal or a shot from it.

‘They’ve got a very good manager because they’ve consistently punched above their weight. We have to be on our game because they have some real threats.’

Can we win again? That’s what we want to know from you with our pre-match poll to your right, which is asking if it’ll be a:-

Barnsley win
Walsall win
