Four Barnsley players have received the call from their countries this month and could be on the international stage in March.

Tom Bradshaw and Ryan Hedges have been called into Ryan Giggs’ first Welsh squad since he took over as head coach. Wales head to the China Cup with China being the former Manchester United wingers first opposition since he replaced now Sunderland manager Chris Coleman.

Victory over the hosts will see them progress to the final where they will face either Uruguay or Czech Republic. A loss sees them go into the third/fourth play off against either of the above two sides.

Stevie Mallan is with Scotland’s Under 21 side as they head to Andorra for a European Championship qualifier. The Scots sit in fourth place in Group 4 and the finals of the competition are being jointly hosted by Italy and San Marino in the summer of 2019.

Oli McBurnie has received the call from Alex McLeish for his first game in charge with his reappointment as manager of the side 11 years on from his previous departure.

McBurnie gets the call having scored six times in nine appearances for us following his arrival from Swansea City on a loan spell on deadline day.

Scotland face Costa Rica in the opening game of the break, and then Hungary.
