It was being reported late last night that Rotherham had conceded defeat to Barnsley in the chase for Walsall striker Tom Bradshaw.

Sky Sports were reporting that Rotherham believed they had secured a new club record transfer fee of £500,000 for the 23 year old talented frontman, but when he put in a transfer request on Wednesday, Walsall upped his price.

They go on to say that Rotherham manager Alan Stubbs didn’t believe he was worth the new valuation but Barnsley were prepared to pay it, so he’s now expected to be unveiled as a summer capture some point today.

It’s said Barnsley are willing to pay the new £650,000 valuation but it’s believed that Shrewsbury Town will be entitled to £130,000 as per a future fee clause.

I guess today will provide the answers.
