Josh Brownhill will remain part of the Barnsley bid that hopes to end the season on a high for the remainder of the campaign with his loan deal extended.

Since his arrival from Preston Brownhill’s been involved in four-matches for the Reds, of course, winning all of them with him telling the Official Website he’s looking to continuing his involvement and add to the building momentum.

‘I’m really pleased to extend my stay. They’re a great bunch of lads here. We’ve got some real momentum and are on a great run.’

If Barnsley can maintain the current form, which might have continued since the 20-year-old midfielder arrived but did start before he came to Oakwell on loan, then who knows what could be possible come the end of the season!

Present form suggests the play-offs could be on with him adding he’s excited about what could be achieved with him keen to be a part of it.

‘We’re taking each game at a time but I’m excited about what we can achieve here with some big games coming up. This is a great Club and I’m thankful to the gaffer here for putting his faith in me and trusting me in the games I’ve played so far.’
