Barnsley are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Harry Chapman in the three one victory over Walsall at the weekend at the Bescot Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Chapman was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Chapman shone on his full professional debut as Barnsley moved into the Sky Bet League 1 Play-Off places. The 18-year-old Middlesbrough loanee caused Walsall all sorts of problems, emphasised by his stunning solo goal which put the gloss on a fantastic 3-1 away win.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Chapman for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the the win.

Full Team:

Jason Leutwiler (Shrewsbury Town), Ryan Dickson (Yeovil Town), Dean Lewington (MK Dons), Scott Cuthbert (Luton Town), John Passley (Dagenham and Redbridge), Harry Chapman (Barnsley), Lewis Hawkins (Hartlepool United), Gaston Ramirez (Middlesbrough), John-Joe O’Toole (Northampton Town), Callum Harriott (Charlton Athletic), Mirco Antenucci (Leeds United).

Manager – Gary Rowett (Birmingham City).
