After a disappointing 1-0 defeat at Watford in his first game in charge, Mark Robins has lifted the lid on what’s going wrong with Barnsley and why they are still without a win this season.

The Reds crashed to a fifth successive league defeat at Vicarage Road and barely troubled the Watford goal. Mark Robins’ post match comments have revealed that the Barnsley players are apparently lacking in confidence.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Robins said: ‘There is a crisis of confidence in those players and we need to be more blood and thunder.’

Robins also commented that he understood much more now about why he has been given the job at Barnsley. He goes into his next game at Pride Park against Derby County looking for a change in fortune.
