Barnsley have been dealt a blow with the news that midfielder Sessi D`Almeida is likely to miss the rest of the season.

He was playing for the reds under-23 team when he suffered the injury, tearing his cruciate knee ligament.

This is a huge blow for the player himself and for Barnsley who now look short of options in the central midfield area should anything happen to Scowen or Hourihane.

A midfielder may not have been on the agenda for Paul Heckingbottom in this transfer window but I feel he must now go out and sign one.

He will also be looking for a centre back, left back, winger and striker to complete the squad until the January window opens.

How many of those he will be able to get during the next seven days remains to be seen.
