Injured top scorer Daniel Bogdanovic is in a race against the clock to be fit for Sunday`s season finale at the Hawthorns against West Bromwich Albion.

The final game of the season sees West Brom celebrate their promotion back to the Premier League in front of the home crowd, while Barnsley travel looking to end a dire run without a win to give their supporters something to cheer about.

After turning down an improved offer of a contract, Daniel Bogdanovic looks set to leave Barnsley in the summer after becoming a fans favourite in his first full season at the club. The Maltese international has scored 14 goals this term for the Reds, arguably staving off relegation fears all by himself. He has however decided against re-signing on the terms offered and could have already played his last game for the club as he is carrying a hamstring injury.

Mark Robins told the official website: “Daniel Bogdanovic has no chance really of being fit for West Brom but he is desperate for a five minute cameo.”

If that doesn`t say “He`s leaving and he wants to say farewell to the fans” then I don`t know what does.
