This weekend`s FA Cup fifth round draw sees Tykes manager Simon Davey lead his men to the mighty fortress of Anfield. With slight hopes of causing an upset, the reds boss gave his thoughts ahead of the big game:

“Liverpool are a massive club with world class players, but I will tell our lads to go out there and enjoy it. The players want to play at the highest level, and for some of them this is the pinnacle of their career.”

The Barnsley gaffer never played at Anfield in his career, but is hoping to make his mark on his first visit to the Merseyside club:

“I supported Liverpool as a kid, so it`s special for me, and I never played at Anfield in my career, but this is a chance for me and the staff to test our wits against Rafa Benitez.”

Barnsley have only just about fully recovered after their long and disappointing trip to Plymouth on Tuesday night, which resulted in a 3-0 loss:

“We`ve had to get some rest and recuperation after Tuesday night, we`ve tried to keep the players fresh and on Friday we`ll be working on our tactics at Everton`s training ground. The last thing I will tell the lads before they go onto the pitch is to enjoy it, and hopefully the fans will enjoy it too, and we can do them and ourselves proud.”

Luke Steele will make his Barnsley debut in goal after joining from West Brom on an emergency loan. Tony Warner, Lewin Nyatanga and Jon Macken are all cup-tied.
