Barnsley striker Craig Davies will miss tomorrow`s clash with Crystal Palace due to a hamstring injury picked up in Saturdays 1 – 0 victory at Charlton.

Barnsley are awaiting results of a scan to see how bad the injury is to the clubs leading scorer this season. Boss Keith Hill revealed that the 26 year old will definitely miss the Palace game and if the scan reveals a tear then he could be out for up to six weeks.

Davies has had a great start to the season and won his first Wales cap for almost five years earlier this month.

This is a big blow to Keith Hill and Barnsley with no other striker finding any kind of consistent form other than Davies this season.

Marlon Harewood is expected to replace Davies but as yet this season has failed to impress. Dagnall is set to continue in the starting line up alongside Harewood. Dagnall has played well this season and deserves his place in the team. His work rate is exceptional but he will be under pressure to start and convert performances into goals now that Davies is out.

Other than those two there are just the youngsters currently available to Keith Hill, but it is hoped that Egyptian striker Mido will soon be available for selection.
