Martin ‘Disco’ Devaney has been ruled out for up to eight weeks after rupturing an ankle ligament.

The former Watford man was substituted early on in the first half of Barnsley’s 3-2 win over Burnley on Monday.

Reds boss Simon Davey told the club’s website of the bad news:

‘We will have to be very reserved with his rehab but he will be missing for a long time.’

The Tykes are also without injured defender Darren Moore for the next few weeks due to a grade two tear to the groin.
