Barnsley boss David Flitcroft is hoping to sign a player for the left wing back role in time for Saturday`s clash with Bolton.

Flicker is keen to bring in a replacement for the injured Scott Goldbourne as he hopes to stick with the 3-5-2 formation that has served the reds well in recent weeks.

Although Tom Kennedy is a natural left back, Flicker sees the demands of wing back as too much for him and prefers him on the left side of three central defenders.

So far the search has been far from encouraging as Flicker revealed he has been turned down for 15 players so far.
