Barnsley boss David Flitcroft believes that the clubs defeat at Bournemouth will prove to be the turning point of their season.

Flitcroft admitted that it was after that game that he realised the club needed a complete change of direction in terms of style of play, approach to games, team selection, tactics and recruitment of players.

Flitcroft has certainly changed the team a lot since that game after sticking with last season`s underperforming heroes up until that point.

The signs so far have been encouraging with the performance against Reading and more attack minded players selected in midfield.

He may have had too much faith in the players he had been selecting early on in the season but at least he has now realised a shake-up was needed and I hope he has done it in time to turn around the reds season.
