A third successive win was secured by Barnsley on Saturday as Johnson’s spell as our manager saw at win at Gillingham – a second half goal was enough to give us a one-nil win at Priestfield Stadium to end the unbeaten start to live at Gillingham for Edinburgh.

There weren’t too many first half chances, Scowen had ‘our best one’ while Marquis headed wide for Gillingham.

We made the breakthrough just 10-minutes or so after the break when Pearson saw his effort saved but Waring (56) was in the right place to tuck away the rebound and give us the lead before the hour.

Hoyte almost levelled instantly for the hosts but, with the closest they came, his effort was well saved by our stand-in ‘keeper Davies to make sure that we claimed a one-nil win.

Following this game, as is customary of course, attention now turns to the MotM for us – who you think this was?
