Barnsley have today confirmed that Adam Hammill has now signed a new two year extension at Oakwell.

The 2015/16 Player of the Year as Barnsley lifted the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy and won promotion into the Championship via Wembley and the Play Off route is now contracted to the club until the summer of 2018.

Having rejoined us back in November 2015, Hammill’s impact on the first team is pretty obvious to see given the year just had – and he went on to make 34 appearances, scoring nine times – including his two special goals at Wembley itself.

Further further reaction from Hammill himself, and no doubt Paul Heckingbottom will follow – as press interviews are currently underway.
