Well, as long as wins start coming against the sides at the wrong end of the League 1 table that Barnsley would be expected to beat!

Kadeem Harris has told the Official Website he ‘can’t put his finger’ on why Barnsley are able to beat the top team but find it so hard against the strugglers?

Crewe is another game Barnsley would be expected to win and Cardiff loanee Harris knows three-points are required from the basement club with him sure the Reds will ‘fly up the table’ if the points from these games start coming.

Basically he knows we need to find consistency.

‘As soon as we start beating the bottom teams we’ll fly up the league. We seem to do well against the teams at the top but struggle against those at the bottom and I can’t put my finger on why.

‘It’s a big one for us on Saturday, we need to make most of it and capitalise on where they are in the league.

‘The fans always expect the team to get a result and it’s no different this weekend. We have to go out there, do what we know we can and we trust in ourselves to get the three points.’

Regular first-team football is what Harris came to Oakwell for and the winger has managed this since his arrival from Championship side Cardiff, making himself a first choice pick of Lee Johnson’s.

It’s a loan he feels is ‘going well’ with him adding he’s enjoying being part of thing with the club.

‘I think going well so far. We have a good bunch of lads here, great coaching staff and a great manager. I’m playing week in week out, we just need to get wins under our belt.

‘I think we have the boys here to do it, there’s no doubt we’ll climb up the league and we should with the players we’ve got and with more consistency we’ll be flying.’

His loan is set to run until November, at which time he’ll have to return to his parent club but in another interview, in the Barnsley Chronicle, he said he would ‘definitely’ be interested in returning to the club in January.

Perhaps Harris is one of those loan players Barnsley have the chance to buy permanently, that Head Coach Johnson previously said we could with some?
