Haynes Unsettled

Whoever started the rumour about Danny Haynes being a transfer target has done their job and unsettled the Barnsley striker.

As is the way these days, Barnsley fans have become accustomed to having their most prized asset scrutinized and discussed and with Danny Haynes it’s no different as the vultures look to be circling for the 23-year-old.

Boss Keith Hill has moved to quash the rumours that Haynes, who only arrived at Oakwell in January, is possibly on his way but also admitted that the rumours have unsettled the young frontman.

He told the club’s official site: ‘I think it’s been unnerving and upsetting Danny, the speculation, because you can’t help but see it, read it, feel it.

He continued: ‘It’s not helping me, Barnsley Football Club or Danny Haynes because that speculation isn’t real.’
