Barnsley drew one-one (two-two on aggregate) with Fleetwood in the JPT on Thursday, winning four-two on penalties.

Following a goalless first half, Conor Hourihane broke the deadlock midway through the second half but just when the Wembley suits were being thought about Ashley Hunter sent the game into a penalty shootout.

Fleetwood ‘keeper Chris Maxwell kept out a Josh Scowen effort with Adam Davies doing the same with Conor McLaughlin’s. After Sam Winnall had scored Davies again saved keeping out one from Amari’i Bell it was down to Hammill who made no mistake to send the Reds to the final against Oxford.

The above video shows the highlights from this game at the Highbury Stadium as the Lee Johnston reign, which looks set to end now with him walking out for Bristol City (?), ended with a place at Wembley in April secured.
