Barnsley General Manager Don Rowing has held talks with Keith Hill to reassure the Barnsley manager over his future at club, following speculation regarding a possible takeover.

The reds biggest away win in 22 years has been overshadowed by takeover talk and news that the interested parties would want to replace the current management team at Oakwell.

Hill spoke of his frustration during his time at Barnsley as it always seems that he has to ‘dodge grenades` thrown in his direction.

Hill is determined to be successful at Barnsley and the current speculation is not what anyone needs at a time when the reds are clearly making progress under his leadership.

Rowing has reassured Hill and fans that that the Hillcroft partnership will remain in charge at Oakwell whether the club is taken over or not. He may mean what he says at this moment in time but I don`t think he can guarantee anything if the club is sold.
