For a few seconds this afternoon, you might have been forgiven for mistaking burly left back Matty Hill for a striker as he tore through the Nottingham Forest defence before slotting home expertly to put Barnsley into a 1-0 lead at the City Ground.

On his first appearance since his return from a 5 week lay off through an ankle injury, Hill notched his first goal for Barnsley, which was also his first since 2004.

Mark Robins was impressed with the goal and told the BBC: ‘He’s stepped in today
and not only has he defended well, but he’s gone through and nicked the ball and driven through and scored a great goal and kept his head when he’s been in the penalty area. I’m delighted for him.’
