Not only did Sunday signal the end to another season, which ended in style of course with the impressive win over Rochdale, it also meant that the end of season awards were dished out by Barnsley.

The winner of the top honour, the Player of the Year, went to Conor Hourihane who capped a fine first season with us by adding to his goal tally in the five-nil win after being presented with this award ahead of kick-off.

As far as his teammates were concerned the Players’ Player of the Year went to Lewin Nyatanga for his performance in defence with him playing virtually every game for us throughout the 2014/15 season, being the rock of our defence.

The progress that second-year scholar Mason Holgate made, with him only making his first-team debut in December going onto make 22 appearances, saw him collected the Young Player of the Year.

All of the award winners are as follows:-

Player of the Year – Conor Hourihane
Players’ Player of the Year – Lewin Nyatanga
Young Player of the Year – Mason Holgate
Goal of the Season – Sam Winnall vs Notts County
Disabled Supporters’ Player of the Year – Sam Winnall
Academy Player of the Year – Jack Walton
Most Promising Academy Player of the Year – Mo Saeed

Are these all worthy winners that you would agree with?
