Hume Back On Goal Trail

After a very lengthy spell on the sidelines, Barnsley’s Iain Hume is back on the goal trail.

The Canadian international hit two in a week to sink both the Baggies and the Tractor Boys and could have had three, had his penalty not crashed against the upright against Ipswich.

Hume was injured by an horrendous elbow off the ball by Sheffield United’s Chris Morgan in November 2008 and made his comeback in pre-season in July this year. After a few sub appearances and starts the striker is back to full fitness and has begun to hit the net once again.

He will benefit from the international break and hopefully find the net for the third game in a row when the Reds return to action against Doncaster Rovers on October 17th.

‘Horrendous elbow off the ball’ – Abit bias, I think. If he could win headers, he wouldnt have had a problem.

it is Vital Barnsley son. If Morgan wasn’t dirty Hume wouldn’t have been in hospital.
