Barnsley are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Ryan Kent in the four three victory over Cardiff City at the weekend at the Cardiff City Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Kent was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘A stunning game at the Cardiff City Stadium saw Barnsley come away with all three points in a seven-goal thriller. One of the stars in the Tykes’ 4-3 win was Kent, whose blistering pace played a part in tearing up the Cardiff defence.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Kent for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Stuart Nelson (Gillingham), Chris Robertson (Wimbledon), Liam Moore (Reading), Kyle Bartley (Leeds United), Tommy Smith (Huddersfield Town), Jimmy Smith (Crawley Town), Matty Lund (Rochdale), Ryan Kent (Barnsley), Ollie Watkins (Exeter City), Billy Sharp (Sheffield United), Chris Maguire (Oxford United).

Manager – Danny Wilson (Chesterfield).
