At times you’ve got to go backwards to move forwards with this something Otis Khan has done leaving a Championship side to join a League 2 one in the form of Yeovil.

Khan joined Barnsley in January when Sheffield United released him, in our promotion winning season he managed three first-team appearances but his future will be with Yeovil after he signed for them on a one-year deal.

Having completed his capture his new boss Darren Way told Yeovil’s official website.

‘I am really excited to be able to work with Otis, he has a really good pedigree. He has an unbelievable desire and determination to do well and I am sure he career at Yeovil Town will be successful.’

The 20-year-old had signed an 18-month deal when he came to Oakwell but the likelihood is the midfielder wasn’t going to be in Paul Heckingbottom’s Championship plans so this move is in the best interests of all concerned.

Khan leaves, as you would expect, with the clubs best wishes for the future and thanks for his efforts during his brief spell with the Reds.
