Barnsley fans will be pleased to know that Heinz Muller is making very good progress on his long road to recover after his horrific knee injury back in January.

The big German is targeting a return for pre-season where the battle for the number one jersey with Luke Steele will commence for August. That will be the case if Muller intends on staying at Oakwell if not lured to a bigger club.

Meanwhile, club chairman Gordon Shepherd has told of his intention to step down from his position at the end of the season. Though it is not yet confirmed who will replace Shepherd come the time of his departure.

Also, club captain and top goal scorer Brian Howard may return to the starting line-up on Saturday where the Tykes face Leicester in a massive relegation battle at Oakwell.

Howard has been in superb form this season, notching up 13 league goals and attracting attention from a certain number of Premier League clubs.
