Barnsley’s play-off hopes, which would have been well and truly on track with a win at Swindon at the weekend, were dealt a blow with a win that took Swindon to within touching distance of the summit in league 1 – how we would love to be in that position….

A two-nil defeat at the County Ground wasn’t a disgrace by any means but it means thoughts of the play-offs went on hold again.

Swindon got off to a fine start when Chelsea loanee, and the highly rated, Swift set up Raphael (14) who fired past Turnbull with Swift the man that was brought down by Digby just before the break to give the hosts the chance to double the lead from the penalty spot.

Turnbull guessed the right way to save a weak Williams effort to keep us in the game.

A goal could have gone either way in the second half, to get us level or wrap up the points but it wasn’t until late in the game that Gladwin (84) was able to secure the points for the hosts and condemn us to a two-nil defeat.

Following this game, as is customary of course, attention now turns to the MotM for us – who you think this was?

Select the name that you want from the list in the poll to your right, but why not also share your thoughts with us on your thinking for that person, and this latest game itself, with some views….
