Barnsley will be looking to bounce back from two disappointing home games when they travel to Leeds United. Barnsley`s recent record against Leeds is a good and the reds will be looking to take inspiration from that going in to this fixture.
Leeds could be unchanged which will mean former red Andy Gray starting from the bench and former reds loanee Michael Tonge in the Leeds starting 11.
Barnsley boss Keith Hill has confirmed Ben Alnwick will continue in goal despite Luke Steele pressing for selection.
The Barnsley defence was a shambles on Tuesday and missed Stephen Foster badly. Hopefully Foster will be fit to take part in this one or the going could be tough again with no fit recognized centre back available to Keith Hill if Fozzie doesn`t make it.
Expect Bobby Hassell to make way after a poor showing in mid-week. Bobby has been an excellent servant for the reds but I think his Championship days are behind him.
The fit again David Perkins will be pushing for a recall. I would certainly start him. However if Foster makes it I think Hill will again use Perkins from the bench and move Cranie back into the holding midfield role.
Barnsley`s recent results against Leeds make impressive reading:
2011/12
Barnsley 4 – 1 Leeds
Leeds 1 – 2 Barnsley
2010/11
Leeds 3 – 3 Barnsley
Barnsley 5 – 2 Leeds
2006/07
Leeds 2 – 2 Barnsley
Barnsley 3 – 2 Leeds
No more predictions from me this season, I`m either badly wrong or a jinx. Let`s have your predictions on how you think the reds will do at Elland Road.
