Barnsley’s Fourth Round Carling Cup tie will be shown live on Sky Sports.

The clash against the holders, Manchester United, has been set for Tuesday 27th October and will be covered by Sky, giving those who can’t get a ticket the opportunity to watch at home with the family or in the local pub.

Reds fans will remember the last time Barnsley played against the Red Devils live on Sky, with Reds knocking Manchester United out of the F.A. Cup in a replay at Oakwell in 1998.

Ticket information for the game is yet to be released but hotly anticipated. Anyone not lucky enough to get a ticket will surely be comforted by this news, as the Reds look to make their fourth Premiership scalp in the cup in the space of eighteen months, Liverpool, Chelsea and Burnley the previous victims.

More news on the Manchester United tie will shortly follow but for now, who wouldn’t indulge in this opporunity to slap a pic of the legendary Jeff Stelling on their site?
