The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against Scunthorpe this weekend.

Barnsley travel to Scunthorpe United on Saturday October 31 for the game at Glanford Park and the match carries a 3pm kick off.

Referee: Stuart Attwell
Linesmen: Alf Greenwood and Nigel Smith
Fourth Official: Steven Meredith

Match Day referee Attwell (Warwickshire) has officiated one Barnsley game so far this season, the two one loss to Shrewsbury. In that game he showed five yellow cards, three to us.

He has however already taken in fourteen other matches so far in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and Football divisions, he has handed out a total of 41 yellow cards and three red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Plymouth and Crawley on October 3 with a total of six yellows being shown. He also showed five yellows and one red in the match between Nottingham Forest and Burnley on October 20.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
