The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against Wigan Athletic this weekend.

Barnsley host Wigan Athletic on Saturday December 19 for the game at Oakwell and the match carries a 3pm kick off.

Referee: Sebastian Stockbridge
Linesmen: Darren Strain and Craig Taylor
Fourth Official: Thomas Kirk

Match Day referee Stockbridge (Tyne) is yet to officiate a Barnsley game this season.

He has however already taken in fifteen other matches so far in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and Football divisions, he has handed out a total of 54 yellow cards and three red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Carlisle and Chesterfield on August 11 with a total of five yellows being shown and one red. He also handed out six yellow cards in the games between Fleetwood and Port Vale and Rochdale and Shrewsbury – both in September. Six also appeared in December between Grimsby and Shrewsbury.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
