Keith Hill has come out and said how disgusted he is with what he has called a media assault on goalkeeper Ben Alnwick.

Hill was left with little option but to drop Alnwick for the trip to Hull claiming the keeper wasn`t in the right frame of mind to be selected following his slating from several media outlets.

I do think there has been harsh criticism of Alnwick. I also think Steele should most certainly be picked in goal.

However I don`t think the media criticism is behind Alnwick suffering a lack of confidence going into the Hull game.

There have been several arguments between many fans on how many of the first three goals against Forest were the keepers fault. Many view none, even more view all three.

It was visibly clear to anyone in the crowd that the keeper himself thought that he was to blame for all three goals and that is what has knocked his confidence for six.

Hill sounds very frustrated with a lot of things going on at the moment. I hope he can lift himself and the team for the trip Derby and get three much needed points on the board.
