You would probably argue that the Barnsley need for points isn’t as great as it for our hosts Notts County at Meadow Lane tonight is it?

The play-offs are almost certainly our of reach now following two defeats in our last three-matches but Notts County trapped in the relegation zone, so that’s why they will feel their need is greater!

Notts County’s, former Barnsley winger of course, Jamal Campbell-Ryce (knee) is set to miss out in what should be otherwise an unchanged squad for Ricardo Moniz’s first home game in charge.

A few players have ‘picked up niggles’ so Lee Johnson will be ‘assessing his squad’ before a decision on who plays, and who doesn’t, is made.

Jean Yves Mvoto (groin) is doubtful again but Crystal Palace loanee Peter Ramage should keep his place in the starting XI, as should Conor Hourihane despite a poor showing at the weekend that saw him taken off before an hour was played!

Seven-points is too much to make up on Chesterfield but we’ll keep going, you hope, and will be looking to get back to winning ways but will we?
