Barnsley’s Jonathan Macken regains his starting place up front for the Reds this afternoon as they take on Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.

Macken pulled out of the pre-match warm up at Home Park before the Reds kicked off against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday with a calf injury and Mark Robins decided not to risk him.

Robins told the club’s official website: ‘…the decision was right to just bring him out with the amount of games we have got coming up.’

Macken was rested as a precaution and Andy Gray took his place in the starting eleven in the game that never was. Gray missed a few chances of his own to add to the four goals the Reds plundered, that had he scored, might have kept him his place in the side.

Meanwhile, Bobby Hassell comes into the side at long last at the expense of Nathan Doyle who is suspended due to collecting a fifth booking, amazingly against Plymouth Argyle in the abandoned game.
