Barnsley recorded yet another 1 – 0 victory as they saw off Coventry at Oakwell.

The super reds have now won their last four matches without conceding a goal and their last three by the score of 1 – 0.

It wasn`t pretty by any means last night but three points on the board are all that matters and that victory now leaves us only two points off the play off positions.

The fact that we are in with a chance of going up just shows how bad this division actually is. As I have said many times before, I would rather finish fourth bottom of the Championship for the rest of eternity than be challenging in the top half of this league.

Not too much has changed from Danny Wilson`s time in charge as yet but the most significant change is the results we are getting and the clean sheets to go with them.

I also like that Lee Johnson played with just one up front at home as this was most certainly the best way to go with the players we had available.

It is too early to judge Johnson or even form much of an opinion from what he did at Oldham but he is young and hungry and it doesn`t look like he will take any nonsense from this lot.

He has already shipped out Lita and dropped Hemmings from the squad as well as lay down the challenge to Dale Jennings to get his career back on track.

Hopefully this ‘manager` will be given the time needed to show what he can do and hopefully that involves taking us back in to the Championship in the next few seasons and keeping us there.

We now have another winnable home game on Saturday when Walsall come to Oakwell. Could we make it five wins on the spin and more remarkably five clean sheets in a row?
