Manager Danny Wilson has said he was delighted with the team work on display in last night’s one nil victory over Oldham Athletic.

A Kane Hemmings winner in the first half of the game gave us fourth straight home win in the league, and speaking to the Official Site following the game, the manager couldn’t have been happier.

‘We deserved it because we’ve taken a great chance in the first ten minutes or so and defended fantastically after that. If you look at the saves that Ross has had to make, it’s been few and far between. Although they’ve has possession in key areas, we’ve frustrated them and the way they wanted to play. I thought the team ethic and the team work was absolutely fantastic.’

With Josh Scowen making his full debut for us, and taking the Man of the Match award at full time, Wilson went on to say that in many ways Scowen’s personal performance epitomised the entire squad’s determination in the match to get the result.

He also picked out Ben and Conor for special praise in their showings.

With Hemmings getting the goal, he was also interviewed after the game, and he couldn’t have been happier either.

‘On the back of Port Vale and Oldham, it’s good to get six points in quick succession. We’re going into the weekend full of confidence. We’ve had two very hard fought games, we’ve had to dig deep and defend well. I’m delighted to get the goal and, hopefully, I can kick on.’
