Defender Peter Ramage has said that all the players are together in the dressing room and they are focused on pushing us up the table ahead of the game against Port Vale tomorrow.

The on loan Crystal Palace defender’s full interview in in the match day programme, but suffice to say from the extracts published on the Official Site he’s confident that we can climb the table and put ourselves within a shout of the play off spots if we stick to playing to our strengths, and cut out the errors that have cost us at points this season.

‘Everybody sticks together, everybody gets along really well. It’s one of the friendliest bunches I’ve come across. There are no cliques or anything like that, nobody is sour faced and everybody gets on. The confidence we have in each other to go out and perform is there, it’s just about trying to stop the mistakes that are costing us. We’re trying to cut them out and, hopefully, the togetherness will help grind out the results, which we need.’

Ramage goes on to say that he doesn’t feel there is a lot ‘wrong’ in how we are performing, it’s just those fine margins and the rub of the green that we need to develop so we can capitalise when we are on top in games and put the right kind of pressure on the opposition so they are chasing the game, instead of us chasing the game.

‘I don’t think there’s too much wrong, it’s hard to say there’s not when we’re in the position we’re in but it’s the fine lines between conceding and scoring. We’re just not getting the balance between the two, which is hard to take. We know we’ve got it in us to go on a run and get out of this.’

Three points this weekend would go a long way to proving that.
