Reds Rewarded

Barnsley`s reward for their FA cup run is a trip to Malaga next week for some warm weather training.

The cup run has so far netted the reds around £750,000 so to repay the squad the board have decided to stump up for this trip.

The squad will leave for Malaga after the Bristol City game and prepare for the Bolton fixture.

Barnsley boss Flicker sees it as being perfect for training and recovery as the squad have had and will have a lot of Saturday/Tuesday games.

Injuries are also now beginning to affect the squad. The training pitches at Barnsley are poor at the moment but Flicker doesn`t want to train indoors as that is where the reds seem to pick up a lot of injuries.

I`m also told that there is another reason that Malaga has been chosen as the setting for this training camp. If I receive any confirmation that what I have heard is more than just someone speculating then I will let you know.
