Barnsley have completed the signing of striker Kane Hemmings. The 22 year old has penned a one year deal with the club.

Hemmings scored 24 goals in 39 appearances for Cowdenbeath in the Scottish Championship. He was previously at Rangers and began his career at Tamworth.

His fantastic goal record suggests that this could be a good signing for the reds. However, moving from the Scottish Championship to League One is a big step up.

I am always sceptical of transfers from North of the border but this lad is young and his record suggests he is a natural goal scorer so hopefully this will prove to be one of the successful ones.
