Barnsley`s forgotten man Ryan Williams is now back in training at Oakwell.

Williams has finally recovered from over 12 months of injury problems and is now building up his training with the under 23 squad.

It could be a long time before we see Williams close in first team action though as head coach Paul Heckingbottom has told the winger he is out of his mind until he can prove his fitness and get several under 23 games under his belt.

A fit Williams could be like a new signing for the reds but he has to want to be playing again.

Previous manager Lee Johnson suggested that he perhaps had a mental barrier when it came to little niggles and he should have been available to play more than he was.

Hopefully he will get back to player he looked when Danny Wilson first signed him and be back in the first team picture.

This really is make or break for Williams at Oakwell. He needs to see quite a bit of first team action before the end of the season or surely he will be shown the door in the summer or perhaps even in January.
